Note that this feature is only available to administrators.
It is possible to upload a csv of tasks, risks, issues, decisions or stories to Sharktower:
- Click on your avatar in the top right from anywhere in Sharktower
- Select Admin Panel
- Click Config.
- Scroll to the bottom, where you will see a file upload area, beneath the Project Labels area
- Select the type of work item you wish to upload then pick the file.
We suggest you use the templates below for ease.
Note the following things:
- The file must be a csv format not xlsx
- If there are any errors found with the content in any field then no records will be inserted
- The user performing the upload will be displayed as the creator of each work item
- Ensure the column titles are exactly as they appear in the csvs above
- Ensure you select the intended work item type from the dropdown
- If you upload any work items with a status of COMPLETED then the date/time of completion will be marked as the time of the upload
- The upload cannot be undone - so make sure you're completely happy with what you're uploading before going ahead
- If you are uploading a large volume of items (in the order of 1000s), you should expect the upload to take up to 10-20 seconds) before
What you'll need to know before uploading anything;
- The Sharktower project(s) you want to upload the data to including their unique project ID
- The project ID can be found in the address bar when viewing a project and starts with P followed by numbers e.g. P123

- The email address of the users you wish to assign the items to
- And obviously all other properties of the items, e.g. their priority, due date, etc
Notes per column (asterisk denotes mandatory field)
Tasks/Decisions
- Project Reference*: This needs to match an existing project in Sharktower
- Title*: Any free text, without commas
- Description: Any free text, without commas
- Assignee*: Must match the email address of a user in Sharktower (note that you should ensure this user has access to the project)
- Priority*: Any value from the following list - HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW
- Due Date*: Any date in the format dd/mm/yyyy
- Status*: Any value from the following list - NOT_STARTED/IN_PROGRESS/COMPLETED
Risks
- Project Reference*: This needs to match an existing project in Sharktower
- Title*: Any free text, without commas
- Description: Any free text, without commas
- Mitigation: Any free text, without commas
- Assignee: If populated, must match the email address of a user in Sharktower (note that you should ensure this user has access to the project)
- Likelihood*: Any value from the following list - VERY_HIGH/HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW/VERY_LOW
- Impact*: Any value from the following list - VERY_HIGH/HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW/VERY_LOW
- Due Date: Any date in the format dd/mm/yyyy
- Status*: Any value from the following list - NOT_STARTED/IN_PROGRESS/COMPLETED
- Risk Value: Any integer of up to 4 digits
Issues
- Project Reference*: This needs to match an existing project in Sharktower
- Title*: Any free text, without commas
