How do I set the default working patterns for my business?

If you are an Admin, you can make this change in the CONFIG. tab of the Admin Panel. The patterns set here will be displayed as the defaults in all user profiles.

What permissions are there in Sharktower?

In Sharktower permissions are simple but effective. We have 5 types of user roles within Sharktower, these are:

  • An instance admin
Note that you would only require this if you have a single tenant environment.
    • Can create accounts under their instance.
    • Will have admin privileges across every account.
    • Can make other people instance admins.
  • An account admin:
    • Can add users and control permissions across projects and portfolios (also make users an admin).
    • Can create new and remove portfolios.
    • Can order projects and portfolios.
    • Has access to all projects and portfolios by default.
    • Can update domain whitelist.
    • Can get the Jira sync ID.
    • Can change organisation working time.
    • Can approve access requests.
  • A project manager:
    • Is the person who created the project (you can change who this is by clicking on the user)
    • Can add people to a project and make people a project delegate.
    • Can update this RAG status, description and project name.
    • Can modify the plan.
    • Can create and assign work items.
    • Can create and update allocation data.
    • Can update and view budget.
  • A project delegate:
    • Has the same access as a project manager.
  • A project member:
    • Can view and modify the plan.
    • Can create, update and assign work items.
    • Can't access budget.
    • Can't update the RAG status, description or name.

Access to projects and portfolios can be controlled by instance admin, account admin, project manager and delegate. In the admin panel you can give people access to an individual project or an entire portfolio.
