Admins need to approve or deny user registration requests if their email is not on your whitelisted domains.
To approve or deny a new user request
- Go to Admin Panel from Avatar
- Click on ACCESS REQUESTS
- For each username, under Quick approve/deny click on tick mark for approve and cross mark to deny
- You can also click on the username to see more user details and then approve or deny
- Click the SHOW button to reveal a list of previously denied requests.
Note: You cannot undo if you approve. But you have an option to undo immediately if you deny the request by mistake.
The user approval/denial process
Scenario 1: The requester is Admin OR The requester is not Admin but the new user’s email domain is in a whitelist
- The new user will be created and added to the specified projects immediately and the user receives a welcome/set password email
- The requester gets notified of the successful creation.
Scenario 2: Requester is not Admin AND Domain of user’s email is not in a whitelist
- The request goes to pending requests
- All admins will receive an email saying there is a pending request with the link in it
- Once the admin has approved, the users receives the welcome/set password email as above
- The requester gets notified of the successful creation.
Scenario 3: Admin denies a pending request
The requester will get an email saying admin denied the access.
Note that the user denied access does not receive any email.
