Focus for the Day on your homepage gives clarity on must-do items and helps you avoid becoming lost in your Kanban when there's a lot going on. It's also a really quick way to clean up your Kanban if it has become cluttered with a lot of out of date work.

Prioritise the three tasks that you want to achieve on any given day, and concentrate on the completion of these as your aim.

Read on to find out how.

In the homepage you'll see a tile inviting you to sort your tasks. Click this to bring up the Focus for the Day window.

Note: Focus for the Day will only suggest prioritising if Sharktower has identified tasks that you should clear. Specifically, more than 3 work items of medium or high priority which are due today or are overdue.
If you have 3 or fewer that meet these criteria, Sharktower will automatically select them for you.
If you do not meet these criteria, you will either see a black tile inviting you to go to your Kanban.

In the Focus for the Day window, you have the option to quickly organise your tasks by marking them as complete, postponing (snoozing) them or marking them as blocked.

Then choose your three tasks for the day and hit START WORKING.

Your chosen tasks are then visible in the Focus for the Day tile of the homepage, where you can interact with them in much the same way you do in Kanban.

Note: When you and your team members set their focus for the day, the chosen tasks and stories will now be highlighted on the kanban to give you a quick visual indication that somebody has chosen to work on the item today.
